Good news: at least we get a Christmas tree

30 11 2009

With a President that does not celebrate Christmas (he does not give gifts to his children), I was wondering if we’d have a national Christmas tree in front of the White House – or if there were going to be any Christmas trees inside. Looks like there will be, as the inside tree for the Blue Room was delivered on Friday. The First Lady, wearing what looks like a pair of yoga workout pants, greeted the growers who delivered the tree. Let’s hope she decorates it with more class than she has when she chooses her clothes.

Change in Course

Obama in July:

“I am pleased by the progress we’re making on health care reform and still believe, as I’ve said before, that one of the best ways to bring down costs, provide more choices and assure quality is a public option that will force the insurance companies to compete and keep them honest,” Obama said in July.

Obama in August:

All I’m saying is, though, that the public option, whether we have it or we don’t have it, is not the entirety of health care reform,”  Obama said at a town hall meeting in Grand Junction, Colo. “This is just one sliver of it, one aspect of it.”

Wonder what he’ll be saying next month? If it is something along the lines of “And as a lawyer I’m opposed to the outrageous lawsuits that are driving up healthcare costs and I will pursue tort reform” – that would be super!

Brothers, pull up your pants

Before I start blogging about the Worst-Administration-Evah I’ll start with a positive.

There is one thing Obama said that I agree with.

Before the election, Obama was interviewed by MTV and he said “Brothers should pull their pants up” referring to the trend to display your boxers while your jeans hang at your knees. (If I knew how to blog better I’d put the link so give me a little while to figure out how to do that)

However, as Obama’s popularity declines, so does his mandate to pull up the drawers. I still see boxers.

REPEATABLE: Even the brothers are not listening to Obama.
