So much for debate.
On Thursday, Obama – in one of the lowest points of his presidency – said this about the healthcare debate:
“I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do alot of talking. I want them to get out of the way, so we can clean up the mess”.
He was a Senator when the majority of Congress was Democrats. They’ve had the majority for two years – plenty of time to pass legislation on healthcare reform. And he has the nerve to say this?
Democrats still have the majority – they have the votes. No one is in his way. But he knows if this passes without Republican support and it fails – it crushes the Democrats – and him.
I think the best argument to a liberal about government run healthcare is this:
How will you like government run healthcare when George W. Bush gets reelected? Or when Sarah Palin is President? Or when (insert Republican name here) is running the country?
It will scare them to death to think Republicans will make medical decisions for them.
Shoe. Fits. Other. Foot. That should fix it.
